Stoichiometry, isotherms and kinetics of adsorption of In(III) on Cyanex 923 impregnated HZ830 resin from hydrochloric acid solutions

A solvent impregnated resin (SIR) with Cyanex 923 as extractants and HZ830 as support was prepared.

•

The SIR showed highly adsorption capacity for In(III) at 1.5 mol L− 1 HCl solutions.

•

The extracted species were found to be InCl3·nL and HInCl4·nL (n = 2, 3).

•

The SIR showed good stability after five adsorption-elution cycles.

•

The SIR showed excellent adsorption property and potential value of actual use.
