Soil Dynamic Quality Index (S-DQI) based on fuzzy logic specifically designed for the agricultural functionality of soil, described by the group of three indexes (S-DQI_PHYS, S-DQI_CHEM, S-DQI_BIOL).

Indexes S-DQI_PHYS, S-DQI_CHEM, S-DQI_BIOL include physical, chemical and biological indicators, respectively, which quantify the corresponding attributes of soil.

Indicator values can be expressed by both crisp and fuzzy numbers, which allow more realistic estimations of soil properties.

Design of the indexes made from the joint estimations of a panel of experts, their values being obtained as a result of a fuzzy inference procedure – crisp values ranging from 0 to 1.

Verification tests show satisfactory index response capability to changes in the soil properties.
