Pterostilbene (Pte) attenuates myocardial I/R (MI/R) injury via reducing oxidative/nitrative stress. Pte treatment reduces MI/R injury-induced inflammatory response. The activation of eNOS and the inhibition of p38 MAPK are involved in the cardioprotective effects of Pte.
