A parasagittally located rhabdoid meningioma occurring in a 54 year-old woman showed numerous rhabdoid-like cells with abundant cytoplasm in which typical acidophil inclusions were found. Inmunohistochemistry was positive for vimentin, EMA and progesterone receptors and negative for cytokeratins, S-100, HMB-45, actin, desmin, PGFA, CD38, enolase, synaptophysin and neurofilaments; confirming the meningothelial character of the tumour and differentiating it from other rhabdoid-like neoplasms. The main characteristics of the lesion and its inclusion in the aggressive meningiomas group (grade III meningiomas) are discussed.
