A thermo-mechanically coupled nonlinear viscoelastic-viscoplastic cyclic constitutive model for polymeric materials

A thermomechanically coupled constitutive model is constructed. Viscoelasticity and viscoplasticity are both considered in the proposed model. A modified kinematic hardening rule is employed in the viscoplastic part. Rate-dependent uniaxial ratchetting of the UHMWPE are reasonably predicted. The cyclic softening and temperature variations at high loading rate are predicted.
