Utilization of the SAVANNA model to analyze future patterns of vegetation cover in Kruger National Park under changing climate
文摘

The SAVANNA model was used to projected climate change impacts on vegetation productivity and composition in Kruger National Park.

Under all IPCC (A1B, A2, and B1) scenarios broad-scale spatially diverse landscape change was projected.

Climate change projections for Kruger National Park include a slight decrease in precipitation (−1%) and temperature increases of 1.5–3.5 °C.

Resilience to climate change differs in woody and herbaceous groups with spatial trends closely following a north-south climate gradient.
