The autologous blood intraventricular injection would lead to acute intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) and prolonged hydrocephalusin. Curcumin treatment alleviates chronic BBB damage post-IVH induction through protecting the impaired neurovascular units. The incidence of post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus is reduced by curcumin.
