Uses of information and communication technologies in HIV self-management: A systematic review of global literature

This study reviewed six studies focusing on HIV Self-Management programs utilizing Information Communication Technologies. The most commonly used ICT platforms were websites and mobile phone applications. The program effects were assessed in three domains: physical health status, psychosocial outcomes, and health knowledge and behaviors. Recognized add-on benefits of ICT platforms to the Self-Management programs. The absence of information behavior theories and models is reflected in all six studies.
