PolyHIPE foams containing various levels of SNPs were successfully prepared. Cation-exchange polyHIPE membranes were prepared via foam acid treatment. 3 wt% SNPs reinforced membrane exhibited the highest compressive strength and IEC. The cation-exchange membrane was used to remove nickel ions from aqueous solutions. The adsorption results were in good agreement with Freundlich isotherm.
