3D printed, porous Ti6Al4V implants evaluated after six months healing in sheep. Bone area/volume can be accurately determined, but not bone-implant contact. Lower threshold limit of bone strongly affects the accuracy of morphometric data. Must optimise micro-CT image segmentation with a corresponding histological section. Resin embedding does not affect the accuracy of micro-CT data.
