Novel phases in the system Mn/As/O/Br(Cl) were grown by CVTR. A comparative discussion is made to known M3(AsO4)2 representatives (M=Mg, transition metal). Long-range antiferromagnetic ordering is observed below 8.2 K for α-Mn3(AsO4)2.
