Prolonged exposure (PE) therapy with discrete modifications for psychogenic seizures was used. Treatment with prolonged exposure therapy resulted in reduction of seizures. Treatment with prolonged exposure therapy resulted in an improvement in mood and PTSD symptoms. Decreased seizure frequency was maintained at follow-up. PE therapy may be an effective treatment for dual diagnosis of PNES and PTSD.
