We descript the Upper Cretaceous strata along the northern escarpment of the Dahar Plateau on the basis of four outcrops.

We explain how these strata of the Dahar Plateau correlate with strata of similar age described elsewhere in Tunisia.

We present a unifying interpretation of Coniacian-Campanian paleogeography in this part of North Africa.
