The quantitative ability of MALDI-TOF-MSI was optimized and evaluated. The LC–MS/MS assay was used to validate the reliability of MALDI-TOF-MSI. MALDI-TOF-MSI was used to visualize the distribution of octreotide in mice. The key pharmacokinetic parameters of octreotide were calculated.
