The performance of nanorods material as adsorbent for removal of azo dyes and heavy metal ions: Application of ultrasound wave, optimization and modeling
Quaternary adsorption of dyes and ions on zinc (II) oxide nanorod loaded on activated carbon.
•
Ultrasound shows considerable advantages on the simultaneous removal of dyes and ions.
•
Response surface and artificial neural network methods were utilized for optimization and modeling.
•
The experimental kinetic data were described by the pseudo-second-order equation.
•
Langmuir model was statistically proven to best fit the experimental data.
