Internal waves generated by tides over the Malin Sea continental slope are investigated. Two types of internal waves are generated over the continental slope. Superposition of seaward radiated internal waves creates a tidal beam. The second class of internal waves is classified as a bottom trapped internal wave. Generated by the tidal flow at a local prominence the bottom trapped internal wave propagates northward along the slope.
