Tested three composite floor systems in fire to study stiffness of main edge beams Composite action between the edge beams and the concrete slab plays a key role. ABAQUS was used to simulate results with good correlation. Neutral axis across a section rises and falls during a fire duration. No clear tensile region at the slab centre above the interior beams can be found.
