Residual prestress forces are key parameters for assessing existing concrete bridges. Thus, in-situ methods for determining residual prestress forces have been developed. Comparisons of theoretical, and both destructive and non-destructive field methods are presented. Full-scale tests of a 55-year-old decommissioned prestressed concrete bridge are also presented and discussed.
