nZVI/BC nanocomposite was successfully synthesized and characterized as PS activator. NP was effectively degraded at a wide pH range of 3.0–7.0 in nZVI/BC-PS system. The stability of nZVI/BC nanocomposite and effect of reaction parameters were investigated. SO4− and OH radicals were identified in the system.
