A simple, economical and green synthesis of highly fluorescent CdTe/CdSe/ZnSe NPs. The as-synthesised CdTe/CdSe/ZnSe NPs was functionalized with arginine. Functionalization enhanced the cell viability of the as-synthesised CdTe/CdSe/ZnSe NPs. The fluorescent image showed that the functionalised NPs were taken up by the cells.
