Grouped grey wolf optimizer is designed for maximum power point tracking of doubly-fed induction generator. A cooperative hunting group is adopted for hunting with hierarchical cooperation. A random scout group is introduced for randomly searching of a potential prey. An appropriate trade-off between exploration and exploitation can be achieved. The case studies verify the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed approach.
