Community benthic paleoecology from high-resolution climate records: Mollusca and foraminifera in post-glacial environments of the California margin

文摘
The strongest differences in seafloor biological communities occurred between glacial and interglacial intervals. Molluscs provide evidence for first-order energetic shifts, from chemosynthetic to detrital carbon, in benthic metabolisms and trophic structures. Mollusc assemblages produce non-chronological groupings of similar, reoccurring seafloor communities.
