Co-expression of sialic acid receptors compatible with avian and human influenza virus binding in emus (Dromaius novaehollandiae)
文摘
Widespread presence of avian and human influenza receptors in Emus. Sialic acid receptors in Emus allow avian and human influenza virus binding. Emus could support co-infection of avian and human influenza viruses. Emus could be important in genetic recombination and evolution of influenza virus.
