The exergy analysis can determine the quality of energy in chemical plants. Exergy loss is followed by flasher, absorption column, stripping column and heat recovery section. The absorber exergy loss with a-MDEA solution is 200% smaller than MEA. Changing the chemical used in the capture process is effective on the exergy loss. The amine flow rate is very impressive parameter to reduce the exergy loss.
