Eastern chestnut and house mice foraged more in grass when snakes were absent. Eastern chestnut mice foraged more in the open when snakes were present. Non-native house mice foraged less under cover in the presence of snakes. Thus, native eastern chestnut mice are able to adjust antipredator behaviour.
