In this paper, we use logistic regression analysis to measure graduation rates and explain some of its determinants at Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique. The findings suggest that rigorous procedures are needed to measure and explain graduation rates in SSA on a regular basis. Based on evidence from graduation rates, we argue that rigorous data are relevant to strategically inform decision-making in African universities.
