Kesterite Cu2ZnSnS4 is got by sulfurization of evaporated Cu2SnS3 and ZnS layers. Smooth films are obtained by decreasing the growth temperature of Cu2SnS3. The lattice strain and the electrical conductivity increase with the Cu-content. The energy gap diminishes as the Cu-content and/or the surface roughness increase.
