Effect of heterovalent substitutions in yttrium chromite on the hyperfine interactions of 119Sn4+ studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy

119Sn probe is tested as a source of information on the B-sublattice of AF perovskites.

Neither Cr3+ nor Cr6+ is detected nearby 119Sn4+ ions in Y0.9Ca0.1CrO3.

15">Cr3+ and Ti4+ are found to be randomly distributed in Y1−xCaxCr1−xTixO3 (x=0.1 or 0.2).

Sn4+ dopant segregations are revealed in all of the studied materials.
