Microwave method is used to grow Cu crystals onto reduced graphene oxide sheets. The Cu catalysts exhibit an improved activity toward glucose oxidation reaction. The enhanced performance includes high sensitivity/selectivity and fast response. The graphene sheets serve as 2D conductive scaffold for electron conduction.
