To see whether premorbid physical activity might enhance motor reserve in PD. Classified 102 drug naïve patients into 3 groups according to exercise severity. Less motor deficits in highest exercise group than others in similar dopamine reduction. Rapid decline in motor function related to dopamine reduction in highest exercise group. Engagement premorbid exercise acts as a proxy for the motor reserve in PD patients.
