Two novel titanium complexes bearing the chiral η5-coordinating CpC− ligands synthesized. NMR data prove the stability of the compounds against racemization. Both titanium complexes were characterized by X-ray structure analysis. Oxidative coupling of CpC− in the presence of TiCl4 giving CpC2 proved by X-ray structure analysis.
