Third order and fourth order Gr&uuml;neisen parameters have been obtained for the lower and core of the earth. The reciprocal gamma equation is found to be consistent with the Stacey reciprocal K-primed equation of state. The basic principles of calculus have been used to obtain expressions for higher order derivatives of Gr&uuml;neisen parameter in terms of pressure derivatives of bulk modulus.
