Nationwide analysis of SVOCs are conducted based on 52 lake sediments in China. SVOCs contamination in China distributed significant regional variation. Human activities are major factors affecting the SVOCs regional variation. DDT compound residues exhibit negligible ecological risks in Chinese lakes.
