文摘

Gruithuisen domes are large occurrences of non-basaltic volcanism on the Moon.

Volumes of the domes vary from ∼20 km3 to ∼470 km3.

The absolute model age of the domes is about 3.8 Ga.

The formation of the domes is consistent with remelting of silica-rich crustal material.
