Gasoline spray characteristics under injection pressures up to 120 MPa were measured.

Characteristics at both liquid and vapor phases were obtained simultaneously.

Correlations of penetration were obtained and compared with those for diesel sprays.

Gasoline sprays are more sensitive to ambient density and less to injection pressure.

Vapor phase penetration grows with time faster than liquid phase.
