Presence of DON was examined in 1800 maize samples from Serbia during 2013–2015. Weather conditions had influence on absence or presence of DON in maize samples. Maize growing season in 2014 was extremely rainy. 96% samples from 2014 contained DON in the range of 250.2–9050 μg/kg. 2.5% samples from 2013 and 15.5% from 2015 year were contaminated with DON.
