LCA is a promising tool for assessment of complex environmental mixtures. Oil pollution can modulate several toxic response pathways, such as DNA damage and antibiotic responses in LCA. Hebei Spirit oil spill incident (Yellow Sea, 2007) still influences some locations along the western coastline of Korea.
