Ferromagnetism of C-doped CdS are studied by Monte Carlo simulation. The continuous & discrete spin models has a Curie temperature at ∼60 K & ∼200 K, respectively. Discrete spin model for the spin alignment in C-doped CdS is the most appropriate model. A procedure is proposed to determine optimal temperature set in parallel-tempering method.
