We utilize the MDS-UPDRS to explore the prevalence of and visual hallucinations in PD patients. Seventy-two (19.4%) patients exhibited visual hallucinations. We present characteristics and contents of visual hallucinations. The presence of visual hallucinations is not only related to disease duration and dopamine agonist use. The presence of visual hallucinations also correlated with sleep quality and cognitive function of PD.
