Nucleation of CdS in an aqueous ammonia solution of thiourea and cadmium chloride was studied by photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS), static light scattering, and spectrophotometry. The hydrodynamic diameter of nanoparticles, light scattering intensity, and optical density of the solutions increased with temperature and synthesis time. The processes of formation, growth, and coagulation of nanoparticles can be transferred from solution to the filter surface by continuously filtering the reaction mixture through a 200-nm filter.Keywordsphoton correlation spectroscopynanoparticlescadmium sulfidethiourea
