BackgroundOnly a small number of professions as associated with hard physical labour, e.g. forestry workers, roofers or bricklayers. Therefore sedentary workplaces like office desks are common in German companies. Within the context of workplace health promotion, however, various activity profiles are encountered and must be considered. Furthermore they should not be reduced to the workplace only.
