The polymeric heterometallic [NdSn2{H(Tart)3} ∙ 12H2O]n (I) compound, where H4Tart is the tartaric acid, is synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, and IR spectroscopy. The structural elements of crystal I, namely, polymeric [{Nd(H2O)6}(μ3-HnTart4–n) {Sn(μ2-HnTart4–n)}2} (n = 0, 1) complex molecules and crystallization water molecules, are connected by an extended hydrogen-bond system.Original Russian Text © V.S.
