The purpose of this study was to examine the constraints to participation in campus recreational sports encountered by students attending CSULB. Specific objectives included examining significant differences in recreational sports participation and constraints between (a) gender, (b) class standing, (c) residency, (d) employment, and (e) academic status. A convenience sample of undergraduate students from CSULB was surveyed. The results of this study may benefit recreational programmers at CSULB with their program planning, marketing, and scheduling of future programs.
