摘要
美国医学教育体系的目标是传播知识、传授技能,并运用综合的方式灌输职业价值观。它选择的是最聪明和积极的学生,然后让他们通过极为严格的学习训练过程,包括标准化考试、自制的大型知识库和临床实践培训。其终极目标是向社会输送一批批自愿献身于建立和维护高标准、精良的有利于提高全民健康水平,以及有利于社会和谐的高素质医生。
        The goal of the U.S.medical education system is to transmit knowledge,impart the skills,and instill the values of the profession in a balanced and integrated manner.It selects for the brightest and most motivated students,and then places them through an extremely rigorous process that includes standardized examinations,self-mastery of a large knowledge base,and clinical training.The end result is a group of highly qualified physicians willing to set and maintain high standards for the good of the society.
